Welcome to Natural Science

Natural Science introduces the physical and chemical principles underlying biological form and function. Adaptations of organisms rely on a precise match of materials, form and function. We will concentrate on biological architecture and dynamics, for example, the molecular construction of spider snares and the flight mechanics of the insects they catch. You do not need an extensive background in science; you do need a sense of curiosity and the willingness to investigate using a variety of resources. We will begin with basics and keep arguments simple. The course is designed for all persons who are interested in how life works.
